Tell me and I might forget.
Show me and I might remember.
Involve me and I will understand!

TeamCisif is born!

The "memex" (a portmanteau of "memory extender") is the name given by Vannevar Bush to the theoretical proto-hypertext computer system he proposed in his 1945 The Atlantic Monthly article "As We May Think". The memex has influenced the development of subsequential hypertext and intellect augmenting computer systems.

Every year there is a world wide lego competition (I did not knew that). In the school of Tibor they have, as they call it, a plus group. A bunch of nurdy kids equiped with slide rulers and scientific calculators. In the lego competition you have to, with your team, programm a device you built yourselve, hence building and programming. Please bear in mind that these kids are only 10/ 11/ 12 years of age. This year the school participated, with two teams, in the Eindhoven round up. They did well, but not well enough. The Eindhoven international school won this round. Well done and congratulations.

On the information overkill.....It turns out to be a problem if you acces the information issue from the other side. "I need specific information and I need it now" Out of all the possibilities available Google seems to be the answer; But... Joel Truher stated:

"Currently search is simply bad". It is like interacting with a snotty French waiter. The service is bad, you get served things you didn´t ask for, you often have to order again and you can´t get things that are listed on the menu...
On the information overkill issue, we received a lot of comments. We are setting up a website to provide a (dutch) platform to let everybody give his or hers comments. As soon as we are ready with the site we will blast it into the into the world...... and thus we wil create more and new INFORMATION YEAHHHH.....

Input, e mail, internet, radio, television, Ipod, software-applications, ERP, CRM, BI, SCM, input, input and input.................I talk to al lot of entrepeneurs and they all seem to suffer on a information overkill. The question now is how do we find out what the right information is without goiing through all the information. Talking to my customers it seems like we have to put the IT upfront to devide the must knows and the nice to knows and the rest....

A lot of companies are thinking on implementing CRM applications. They seem to forget that CRM is a filosophy.
