Today I was a guest at "Royal Fruitmasters" in the Netherlands. Under courtesy of Frugicom we were able to visit this impressime plant. Thanks to Harrij S. we could use the boardroom to discuss the new issues around GS1DAS.

This weekend we had the Dutch National Championship Fencing. I entered the sabre contest and came in nineth in the overall end ranking. I have so much more to learn......
PS: I am on the left.
The fever started of again. Floortje wants to get in the game again, displaying a three or four position with a stretched arm.

I was able to regain this painting. It is painted by "Ton Smits" http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ton_Smits
and was given to my family late 1959. I am Very happy to have it on my wall!

Fruits des mer version 2008. Knokke is a strange place. Rather interesting all the way. I am coming to this Belgium coast resort for more than 25 years. It is not a really beautifull place but everybody is acting like it is "Monaco of the North Sea". Some parts are nice, others aren“t. In our street we have "Wims", they serve the best "fruits des mer" ever! Keep it up.

A typical Knokke "Zoute" estate. Not the regular highrise buildings. I love it!
No, this is not Paris Dakar, it is Knokke Beach. The new season is looking at us. At this moment the beach is being prepared for the new summer season. The wheather was stunning and we sat on the terras and enjoyed the first white wine of this year.
As I walked by I saw this frontyard of a house. It gave a strange picture

In my day to day work I have a lot to do with consultancy firms who help our customers into a next ERP situation. It never stops to amaze me how easy they earn their money, but fail to go indepth and really help their customers. Sent a questionair out to the ERP vendors (The consultants have the answers already ready), customers are impressed by the number of "relevant" questions. Software vendors are faced with very long and "relevant" questionairs. Spent hours and hours answering these questionairs. The consultancy firm has several one on one relations with some (best selling) software vendors. And out comes the answer.........

Man it was realy cold and windy that day. Snow passed from the right to left.
Interesting week ahead. Lots of meetings, business and pleasure. Had not had the time to sort out the new pictures because of the closing of a very important project. This project came to an end within budget and within its timeframe.
The dreamteam went skiing. Leon (IBS), Marc (Getronics), Roel (ilionx), Myself (NetGen), had a great time in Serfaus. Jan (Oracle) had to pass. I am looking forward to next year. The apropreate pictures will follow shortly.
