I am entering a photographers course on how to operate a digital reflex camera. What should I buy: a Leica Digilux 3 or a Canon EOS 40D. I fancy the Leica a bit more, because of the fact that I am using a Leica d-lux 3 already. Should we go for German quality or for the Japanese state of art.

Please help me out here.
